Heartburn is very common – and very unpleasant. Fukara how do you feel now? I know it’s been a while but you posted some excellent tips. I’ve been taking PPIs for 2 months now and developed some stomach pain just below my belley button shooting to the right hip. PPIs were to treat my chronic sore throat and burning tongue. When I went to the dr last week he prescribed me some antispasmodic drugs for IBS. Here I stopped! Why would I treat possibly side effect of taking PPIs with another drug? I must admit in the past I tried most of the natural remedies that are mentioned on this website but nothing for more than 2 months. Now, reading some of the posts I understand that I might have to be more persistent. I stopped pantoprasole 2 days ago and the stomach pain eased, however my sore throat came back worse than ever! I need to mention that I’ve had my gall bladder removed (which doesn’t help) but I eat healthy, don’t drink or smoke and my weight is just over 8 stone.
